Bror Hjorths Hus

Vibrant Studio Museum

Bror Hjorths Hus is a studio museum in Uppsala, housed in the artist Bror Hjorth’s former home and studio. In addition to Bror Hjorth’s art we present exhibitions with other artists in our gallery wing. The museum also has a gift shop and a small café.

Whether you come to see Bror Hjorth’s art, any of the temporary exhibitions, attend art school or listen to a lecture or concert, we hope you will leave the house with a memorable experience.

Bror Hjorth (1894-1968) is regarded as one of the great modernists in Swedish art. He was both a sculptor and a painter and became a professor in drawing. His art is a tribute to love, music and life.
